West Region OPP are raising their concerns over the increase of school bus crashes across the area.
Within the last month OPP have responded to 9 crashes involving a school buses across communities in the west region.
While no injuries have been reported in any incident it is still a cause of concern. OPP say every school day in Ontario over 800,000 students are transported which travel a total of 1.9 million kilometres and considered one of the safest forms of transportation.
School buses are designed to be safe with flashing lights, stop signs, high seats and trained drivers but motorists are reminded of the focus needed on prevention not just reaction.
