Perth County OPP are looking for a suspect who is believed to be behind the wheel of a stolen pick up truck following a collision.
Just after 11am, OPP and West Perth Fire responded to a collision which had occurred at the intersection of St George Street and Ontario Road in Mitchell.
A car had collided with a transport truck at the intersection and the driver of the car fled on foot. Investigation revealed the car was stolen in Wellington County.
OPP were assisted by the West Region Emergency Response Team and OPP Canine Unit in attempt to find the driver but its believed he stole another vehicle that was left running on Toronto Street East in Mitchell.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his 30’s with a short, slime build wearing a black coat and sunglasses.
The stolen vehicle is reported as a Grey Ford F-150 with Illinois license plates and a crew cab with tinted windows on the back and sides.
No injuries were reported from the collision and investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
