A resident of Vaughan will have to answer to a stunt driving charge after he was charged by the Huron County OPP last week.
On Friday, June 18th a Huron OPP officer was patrolling eastbound on Amberley Road when he observed a SUV travelling westbound at a high rate of speed.
A radar device was utilized and the speed of the vehicle was measured at a rate of speed in excess of 50 km/h over the posted 80 km/h posted speed limit.
With the assistance of another OPP officer that was patrolling to the west of Lucknow the speeding vehicle was identified and stopped.
A 32 year old male of Vaughan has been charged with stunt driving speeding in excess of 50 km/h over the limit. A court date has been scheduled for August 10th at the Provincial Offences Court in Goderich.
The motor vehicle was impounded and the driver was served with an automatic 7 day driver’s license suspension.
