Over the span of the long weekend, OPP kept busy with at least nine people needing to rescued from the waters of Georgian Bay.
OPP from Collingwood and Huronia West were called out to four different incidents starting from Thursday.
Police observed three adult female paddle boarders waving for help at around 1:30pm, about 2km from the shores of Wasaga Beach.
They were blown out from shore and in distress, unable to get back.
At 2:15pm, officers received a call for service in the area of Beachwood Road, two children aged 12 and 13 were blown out into the bay on a foam mat toy with neither wearing a life jacket.
On Canada Day, two females had to be rescued after they were blown into the bay from Wasaga Beach on an inflatable.
OPP are reminding beach goers, inflatables are not a substitute for life jackets or other life saving devices.
