On December 1st at around 12:30pm, Wellington County OPP received a trespassing report on King Street East in Mount Forest.
It was reported an unknown snowmobiler was illegally operating on private property.
Investigators were able to discover damages to a gate which police believe was caused by the snowmobiler striking the gate.
OPP are reminding snowmobile operators and off road enthusiasts when you do not have permission to enter private lands, you risk being charged with trespassing.
The accused may also be held liable for damages done by their actions.
Riders are asked to respect the rights of landowners and get permission before off-roading or sledding on others property.
