Huron County OPP is currently investigating a fatal motor vehciel collision that took place this morning west of Walton.
At 7am Huron County OPP, Paramedic Services and North Huron Fire responded to a single motor vehicle collision located on Blyth Road (Huron #25) west of Walton.
The preliminary investigation determined an SUV was travelling eastbound on Blyth Road when the vehicle left the roadway, entered the south ditch and collided with a tree. Upon colliding with the tree the vehicle became fully engulfed in fire.
The driver, the lone occupant, died at the scene.
The deceased was not identified.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation with assistance from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement Team.
Blyth Road is closed between Clyde Line and Brussels Line. Please use an alternate route to avoid delays.
