OPP Investigating Assault During Break and Enter

Huron County OPP is investigating after a Clinton homeowner was assaulted in their home during a break and enter.

On Wednesday May 3rd at around 3pm, OPP received a report of an assault on Dinsley Drive in Clinton.

Police met with the victim who said an unknown male entered their home and demanded keys to their vehicle.

When the victim refused he was assaulted.

The suspect then fled with an axe and handheld torch last seen on foot heading southbound towards a wooded area.

Officers checked the area with K-9 and the Emergency Response Team but did not find anyone.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5’9 in height with dark hair and slim build.

They were wearing blue jeans with a black jacket with a John Deere logo and red baseball cap. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
