OPP charge Wingham Driver after Stolen Vehicle Rammed Police Cruiser Twice

36 year old male resident of Wingham charged with multiple charges including dangerous operation, possession of stolen property, assaulting & fleeing a peace officer, resisting arrest and more.

 

Perth County OPP has charged one driver after a police cruiser was rammed with a stolen vehicle on Saturday evening, October 1st.

Officers at around 7:40 pm were investigating stolen plates on a vehicle at a business on Road 164 in North Perth when the driver of the vehicle rammed the cruiser twice and another parked car before fleeing on foot.

A vehicle check revealed the vehicle was stolen.

As a result a 36 year old male resident of Wingham has been charged with multiple charges including dangerous operation, possession of stolen property, assaulting and fleeing a peace officer, resisting arrest and more.

They were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
