OPP Charge Perth County Resident in String of Animal Cruelty Charges

A Perth County resident is facing animal cruelty and mischief charges following a domestic investigation.

On March 4th at around 9:58pm, OPP began an investigation into a domestic disturbance.

The victim had reported a historical mischief from January this year with the victim reporting the suspect damaged items inside their home.

As a result a 27 year old was arrested and charged with Mischief Destroying or Damaging Property, Cruelty to Animals, Unnecessary Pain, Suffering or Injury and Causing Damage or Injury to Animal or Bird – Failing to Provide Suitable Food, Water, Care and Shelter.

The accused was released from custody and will appear in Stratford court at a later date.
