OPP Charge 20 Year Old Novice Driver

Police reminding novice drivers cannot have alcohol in their system regardless of age

On June 5th just after 11:30pm, Perth County OPP responded to a report of a single vehicle collision in the area of Perth Road 119 in Perth East.

Police spoke with the driver and an Approved Screening Device was done.

As a result a 20 year old of Waterloo was charged with Careless Driving, Novice Driver, Blood Alcohol Content above 0 and Class G1 License Holder, unaccompanied by a qualified driver.

A three day drivers license suspension was given to the driver. There were no injuries as a result of the collision.

Police remind anyone under the age of 21 or novice drivers are not permitted to have any presence of alcohol in their blood when behind the wheel.
