Ontario will resume non urgent surgeries starting Monday.

Surgeries were paused in the province in response to surging cases of COVID-19 and to preserve hospital capacity.

This pause has affected an estimated 8000-10,000 procedures a week.

The first phase of non urgent surgeries will include pediatrics, diagnostic services, cancer screenings, some ambulatory clinics, private hospitals and independent health facilitates.
