Ontario Expected to Enter Month-Long Lockdown on Saturday

All regions will join the 3 already in the grey level of the framework

Ontario is poised to enter a month-long lockdown to try and reduce the rising Covid-19 cases across the Province.

Every region in the province will be placed the Grey-Lockdown zone starting at 12:01 am on Saturday.

The details are expected to be confirmed Thursday by Premier Doug Ford at 1:30pm

All regions will join Toronto, Peel and Hamilton who are already in the lockdown zone of the Covid-19 protection framework.

Patios will have to close in areas that have been operating them as well as restaurants and bars can only remain open for takeout and delivery.

Essential retail will only be allowed to operate at 50 percent capacity with other retail at 25 percent.

Personal care and fitness centres will close. Religious services will be capped at 15 percent capacity.

Some outdoor activities such as golf will be permitted but team sports will not be allowed. Construction will still be allowed to continue and start up throughout the lockdown.

The Ministry of Education will likely announce the closure of all schools following Easter.
