The Ontario science table has recommended implementing voluntary rapid COVID-19 testing in settings such as schools and workplaces in areas which could reach certain levels of infection.
The recommendation includes weekly voluntary screening of partial or unvaccinated individuals in elementary schools.
Rapid testing is recommended in workplaces and congregate settings.
The group notes public health units in higher risk situations may also want to look into voluntary testing of fully vaccinated people.
