Provincial NDP Leader Andrea Horwath says there must be an act made to create safety zones around places like hospitals.
Horwath proposed legislation to prevent anti-vaccine protesters from blocking entry into front line medical services and small businesses.
Doctors have widely spoken out against those protesting outside hospitals, include Dr. Michael Warner.
“People are entitled to protest and have their voices heard, at the same time, hospitals are not the place to do it.” said Dr. Warner
The NDP’s call for safety zones came after a woman was verbally attacked and shouted at the front of the Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday.
