Four local hospitals will see more than $6 million in funding from the province’s Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund.
The funds will be used for upgrades, repairs and maintenance.
The Listowel Memorial Hospital will see the bulk of the funding of $2.9 million, the Stratford General Hospital will see just under $2 million, the North Wellington Health Care Corporation will receive $1.3 million and St Marys Memorial will see almost $400,000.
Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance CEO Karl Ellis says the bulk of the funding for Listowel will see improvements for heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
Ontario is providing $200 million to hospitals across the province through the Health Infrastructure Renewal Fund.
