Ontario is investing $6 million to support 30 year multi projects to protect, restore and conserve the Great Lakes.
The investments are to help reduce plastic, excess nutrients and road salt entering lakes, rivers and streams.
The projects will be led by local community groups, non for profits, conservation authorities and more.
Funding for the Great Lakes Program is part of the governments $14 million in annual investments to continue to conserve, protect and restore the Great Lakes and support the well being of communities who rely on them.
