Ontario has introduced legislation to propose a measures for workers which included right to disconnect policies.
Labour Minister Monte McNaughton says the bill is aimed at creating conditions which would attract more work to Ontario.
The legislation would require employers with 25 or more employees to develop disconnecting from work policies which would include expectations about response time for emails and encourage employees to have out of office notifications turned on when not working.
Minister McNaughton says this is important now as the pandemic has blurred the lines between family and work.
