The Ontario Health Coalition is holding a series of public hearings across the province to develop recommendations for the future of hospitals.
This comes after more than 1200 closures of emergency departments for local hospital services within the last year.
The first of local hearings will take place on Saturday from 3-4:30pm at the St Marys Legion.
On June 18th a discussion will be held at the Wescast Community Complex in Wingham from 2-3pm and another at the Mount Forest Legion from 4:30-5:30pm.
The results of the hearings will be collected for a report on how to protect and improve local hospitals and especially in small and rural areas.
