The Four County Labour Market Planning Board is leading a skills training project with many local employers to help build skills for workers and job seekers in the construction sector.

The SkillsAdvance Ontario project will help provide training and be done in-person and online between Four County Labour and LIUNA 1059 with work placements between all four counties.

The Ontario 2021 budget had measures in place for workers and families to recover from COVID-19 with a $614.3 million investment during 2020-21 and 2021-22 for employment training support.
