Ontario isn’t just cracking down on auto theft and stunt racers they’re pushing to punish impaired drivers harder.
If legislation passes penalties could include a lifetime license suspension if convicted of impaired driving causing death.
The government would also require anyone convicted of impaired operation to install an ignition interlock device and undergo mandatory remedial education and treatment for first and second time alcohol and drug related offences.
