Its been one year since the World Health Organization officially declared COVID-19 as a worldwide pandemic.
The federal government has marked today as a National Day of Observance to pay tribute to the over 22,000 Canadians who have lost their lives to the virus. Worldwide the number is beyond 2.5 million.
COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 50 in Huron-Perth and 34 in Wellington County. Next week will mark one year since the province entered a state of emergency and entered the first lockdown.
