If you’ve gotten your COVID-19 vaccine, you by now have received your “vaccine card” which you may have posted to social media.
The Better Business Bureau is warning against such behavior as those with poor security on their social media could become a quick victim of identity theft. The vaccine card contains your full name, date of birth as well as basic information from where you got your vaccine from.
This if made public can allow scammers to attempt to claim your identity or make copies of the card to sell online. Reports of fake vaccine cards being sold online has already been reported in the United Kingdom.
Anyone who has made posts of such information should consider removing their post and review their security settings.
