There’s plenty to tackle for North Perth council this evening, including the municipal response to Bill 23, the provinces More Homes Built Faster Act.
Staff was directed last month to prepare for comments to submit on the municipalities behalf, sharing concerns of the legislation as many proposed changes under Bill 23 have seen a negative impact in terms of affordability.
In a letter intended for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, the Premier and MPP Matthew Rae, the municipality says they believe Bill 23 will do little to accomplish the goal of making homes more affordable.
