North Perth has signed on to Farm 911/The Emily Project.
The action comes after a request from the North Perth Agricultural & Agri-Business Advisory Committee.
The mission of Farm 911 is to improve emergency response times in rural communities by encouraging landowners to place civic address signs at field entrances on vacant farm parcels.
Tina Beirnes, Chair of the North Perth Agricultural & Agri-Business Advisory Committee says joining the project will bring more attention to the need to sign additional farm entrances that are away from the main farm driveways.
Mayor Todd Kasenberg says he’s excited to see the municipal government embrace this critical information infrastructure.
