Last week an update was provided regarding Hope Links North Perth to the public and was brought to council last night as well.

Hope Links has been something planned for over a year to provide support to the most vulnerable in the area.

Gwyneth Woods says the Hope Links program isn’t to offer shelter or overnight stays but to offer services to give the less fortunate various avenues of support.

“It is however intended to be a respite. A help and connection point. We will offer a warm meal, a shower and soon an opportunity to do your laundry.” said Woods

An overnight shelter has remained a question from some, including councilor Alan Rothwell.

Woods responded saying at the time there isn’t a shelter in place as such support there comes from Stratford adding the county’s focus is on getting those into housing and not temporary stays.
