North Perth has raised the Pride Flag outside the municipal office for another year.
The flag was raised in a ceremony on Thursday afternoon.
North Perth Mayor Todd Kasenberg says raising the flag in North Perth is a true message about acceptance in the community.
“This opportunity to raise this flag here shows the municipal corporations commitment but also sends a message to the community that we are about acceptance, we are about diversity.” said Kasenberg.
Hollie Chavarria from North Perth Pride says there is plenty on the dock with Family Pride on June 17th from 2-4pm at the Kin Station and a drag show on the 17th starting at 9pm.
The drag show is a 19+ event to attend.
