North Perth Fire Department Receives $1500 from AG Society

Donation will be used for the Compassion Fatigue program

The North Perth Fire Department received $1500 from the Listowel Agricultural Society for mental health training.

The donation comes from last years Dinner on Tremaine, a fundraiser to put money raised towards mental health assistance for local farmers and community members. The donation will be raised directly for the fire departments Compassion Fatigue program.

Compassion fatigue is common in certain essential service workers affecting both mentally and physically. It’s a result of an individual of helping people who are suffering from effects of traumatic experiences.

The proceeds will benefit all three fire departments in North Perth.
