Downtown business owners in North Perth looking to make some improvements to their storefronts can now apply for support with the municipality.
The Façade Improvement Program is now open for applications to help cover some costs to improve the quality of downtown.
Eligible businesses can receive 50% of costs to a maximum of $7500.
Eligible projects must begin within 6 months of approval and be complete within 12 months.
Various projects are accepted including;
- Redesign the storefront
- Restore the original façade appearance
- Repaint, clean, or sandblast the façade
- Replace or repair windows and doors
- Replace or repair canopies and awnings
- Modify entranceways including improving/providing barrier-free accessibility
- Replace, install or repair signage
- Install street murals/public art along the building’s façade
- Install flower boxes
- Other
