North Perth’s Economic Development Advisory Committee met recently discussing a range of topics.
One of which was the Facade Improvement Program which has seen its volume of applications, including Listowel Chiropractic which got new signage for their business.
To date Approved projects for the program include 2 in Listowel, 2 in Atwood and 1 in Monkton.
When asked about the Facade program being used for things such as street art and murals, Kim Kowch says its very much a possibility.
“There is potentially one coming for, not memory lane but the other alley way. There are a couple others that are out there as well. We are definitely trying to pursue that but we haven’t received applications to date.” said Kowch.
The North Perth Facade Improvement Program launched June 1st which saw council approve $75,000 in grant funds for the program.
The program offers grants of 50% of approved projects costs to a maximum of $7,500. Applications are still being accepted and can be done by contacting Lee Barich at 519-444-4222 or emailing [email protected]
