Council will be returning to in person meetings again and agreeing on a vote at their Monday meeting.
Staff was directed at a meeting earlier this month into options of returning in person as well as hybrid meetings to have a combination of councilors in person with staff, delegates and the public to have the option to be in person or remote.
While some hybrid options were considered and in the report, the cost for extra IT staff on some options was not a move many were for, including Matt Duncan.
“I think as responsible stewards of the taxpayers dollar, I can’t see us spending the amount of money to go with any of these other extra options, they are quite costly.’ said Duncan.
Council approved to have a hybrid style for a return to in person meetings.
All councilors will return to the chambers with the public having the option to be in person or remotely.
This will take effect on July 4th.
Council will also look have a full in person return in the near future.
