North Perth will discuss the idea of a community flagpole in council tonight.
Staff has looked a variety of locations for a flagpole which included the municipal office however the property already has 3 flagpoles and has been used to host other flags in the past.
The roundabout at the intersection of Highway 23 and 86 was also discussed but a possible safety concern about it being a distraction for drivers was highlighted.
The preferred location has been set as the former PUC building on Main Street.
As its written in a report to council, a recommendation says to not have staff move forward with a community flagpole at this time.
