North Perth Council gathered for another plan for next years budget, breaking down things from the Library, Fire Department as well as roads and bridges.
Ed Smith, Fire Chief for the North Perth Fire Department said nothing much so far will affect the capital budget for next year as its been carried over from this year but a new tanker truck and 2 pumper trucks will be coming in the New Year.
“The approval of the 3 new trucks went forward. We were hoping to have 2 of them by the end of this year, which I’ve just learned we will not be receiving them until January 11th and the last on May 21st.” said Smith.
Lyndon Kowch provided an overview on many projects proposed for next years budget.
“A new bridge project we did apply for funding. Reconstruction of the Davidson Bridge, new pavement preservation projects and fleet purchases as well.” said Kowch.
Kowch added there are many carried over projects including reconstruction on Line 84 which so far is 40% complete, its expected to be finished by July.
