North Huron Requests Financial Support from Neighbouring Municipalities

North Huron requesting nearly $54,000 from North Perth

The Township of North Huron is turning to its neighbouring municipalities for financial support for their residents use of North Huron recreational facilities.

This includes North Perth which according to a report shows the estimated number of users for North Huron rec facilities of those from North Perth to be 4.87%.

The fixed costs for services for both the Wescast Community Complex and Blyth Community Complex include hydro, insurance, heat as well as cleaning and waste disposal.

North Huron has made a suggested contribution of $53,599.11.

North Perth council have requested staff to have a report back to see if this request is a first or something which has been done in previous years.

Staff have also been requested to see if a similar report can be done to track North Perth facility use.
