North Huron provided an update on what was discussed at last months’ Council Meeting.

Key on the agenda was the progress on the Huron Heights Development. Council directed for the submission of the Environmental Compliance Approval on the project, approved a phasing plan for external water and sanitary components and approved BM Ross as their agent for submitting planning applications.

Staff was directed to finalize a budget on engineering design and for them to proceed with preparing a tender for external works in accordance with the phasing plan.

Also announced at the meeting was that ice will be delayed in going into North Huron Wescast Community Complex until October 1st.

This is to permit staff to work with Huron Perth Public Health on vaccination efforts at the facility. The delay will not impact the regular ice season.
