North Huron council and residents are divided on a proposed redevelopment project in Wingham.
The issue revolves around the height of a proposed structure which would be built on the former site of the Wingham Modular home area.
Residents have expressed their concerns about the development and the impacts it could have on their neighbourhood.
Council voted 3-2 to defeat the request to change the height of the building.
Developers say they will look into changing the design of the building and be in agreement with residents who live nearby.
