The North Huron Connection Centre held its soft opening on May 30th.
Similar to HOPE Links in Listowel, the connection centre in Wingham offers those in need with a place to stay to warm up or cool down, enjoy a meal, do laundry, take a shower and access services such as trauma informed care, substance use and mental health counseling.
Located at the St Pauls Trinity Anglican Church, a grand opening is in the works to showcase the centre to the public.
The connection centre runs Monday-Friday from 12-5pm.
This fall a neighbourhood meeting will take place to review the success of the connection centre.
