Normlacy Slowly Returning to Long-Term Care Homes

Communal dining and indoors events now permitted by the government

With the vast majority of long-term care and retirement residents and staff vaccinated, normalcy is slowly returning to homes.

New guidelines outlined the return of communal dining and indoor events and gatherings with some precautions in place.

Once the stay-at-home order is lifted, more direction to allow for social outings for fully vaccinated individuals will be announced.

Currently all residents in care homes, regardless of immunization are able to leave for essential reasons such as exercise, grocery shopping and visiting the pharmacy.
