The Minto Chamber of Commerce was among those who held an all candidates meeting for Perth-Wellington candidates.
Taking place at the Norgan Theatre in Palmerston those in attendance included Matthew Rae for the PC’s, Ian Morton of the Greens, Ashley Fox for the Liberal Party and James Montgomery for the New Blue Party.
The NDP, Freedom Party and Ontario Party were unable to attend with Davis providing an opening statement.
When it came to responding to Trump’s tariff threats and protecting local jobs, James Montgomery with the New Blue says its working together, provincially and federally.
“Just making sure we’re working with all levels of government to ensure that we are enforcing the laws that as is required to.” said Montgomery.
Another meeting is set to take place tomorrow night in Listowel at the Ag Hall.
