A 45 year old is facing charges after taking almost $500,000 from a non profit in Centre Wellington.
On March 24th, Wellington County OPP and the Anti-Money Laundering Unit received a complaint from the non profit after investigation found around $490,000 was misappropriated from 2020-2025.
As a result, a 45 year old Hamilton was charged with Fraud Over $5000, Laundering Proceeds of Crime, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 and Criminal Breach of Trust.
The accused will appear in court in December.
