A garage has been destroyed with two houses being damaged in a Mount Forest blaze on Tuesday.
Firefighters from Wellington North Fire Services in Arthur and Mount Forest responded to the fire on Albert and Church Street at 10:30am. They were also assisted from an aerial unit from Minto Firefighters.
Officials say the fire started in the garage of one of the houses which then spread to the attached house and a nearby home.
No injuries were reported, everyone was out of the buildings by the time firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire is not known yet but is not deemed suspicious
