New Years Celebrations are looking different as expected this year, for some it means no celebration at all.
While Blyth made the decision to cancel their fireworks celebration as lockdown continues, St Marys intends to go forward with their fireworks but is not public in anyway. St Marys residents will instead stay at home to ensure the event is strictly local only.
St Marys Mayor believes this event will not draw any big crowds as barriers and secruity will be set up near the fireworks site. St Marys residents are just asked to head outside and look towards the Thames River around 6pm to safely enjoy the fireworks display.
