As cases of COVID-19 continue to rise, Premier Doug Ford is set to likely introduce new protocols and safety measures in the areas where the cases are at their highest to stop the spread as the projection of 1000 new cases per day looms.

It is expected this afternoon gyms and indoor dining in Toronto, Ottawa and Peel will be closed until further notice, reverting back to stage 2.

Ontario is reporting 939 new cases of COVID-19 Friday. Shattering the previous record that was set on Thursday.

Premier Doug Ford will speak at a conference later this afternoon.
