The Listowel Memorial Hospital now has its new mammography unit in place.
Both screening and diagnostic exams have been delayed as a result of equipment replacement as well as the pandemic.
With the new unit will bring the addition of 3 new technologies which includes contrast enhance mammography which will allow a better view to see lesions which would otherwise not be as clear.
The new technology additions and procedures mean patients at the Listowel Memorial Hospital will have more diagnostic services locally and avoid larger travel to access such services.
