New Elementary School for Fergus has been Approved by the Province

School set for the Storybrook Subdivision of Fergus will house 308 students. Area is already in line for 1500 more homes with an anticipated 4,000 over the next decade.

 

The Ministry of Education has approved the proposal put forward by the Upper Grand District School Board in the springĀ  to build a new elementary school in Fergus.

Perth Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiace made the announce that the $8.5 million dollar project for Centre Wellington had gotten the go ahead.

The location, as indicated by the school boards purchase option on a 6 acre site in the area is in the Storybrook subdivision.

The school is expected to service anticipated growth in Centre Wellington that could bring another 4,000 homes to the area over the next decade.

There are 1500 housing units already nearing completion in the area.
