There will be a new catholic elementary school and child care centre in Drayton.
Construction on the site for St. Martin of Tours Catholic Elementary School and Mapleton Childcare Centre began this month and is being done in several phases.
The childcare centre is expected to be open in December of next year with program offerings and registration being shared soon.
Construction of the elementary school will be complete in spring 2027 with the school welcoming its first students in September 2027.
Student registration for the school is expected to be start in spring of next year.
