Anyone across Perth County knows the struggle of trying to find decent cell service across certain parts in each town and roadway and there is some hope it can be addressed soon.
Perth-Wellington MP John Nater will be in Listowel this afternoon to attend a meeting with a Bell representative as well as with chamber and municipal staff and emergency services to discuss the lack of cell service in the community.
Sharon D’Arcey with the North Perth Chamber says it’s even more concerning on what could happen when a lack of service comes in at the time of an emergency.
“Finding out some of these issues and we’re really worried about not just what’s happening to businesses but what emergency issues like what happens if we can’t get through when we need to call for help’ said D’Arcey.
Earlier this year the Chamber launched a survey to get feedback from the community on cell reception and the issues they see.
The chamber is hoping there will be a better picture of how, what and when the solutions to fix cell service across the community can be done around the New Year.
