While the federal government works on pushing Bill C-30 which would push into legislation new policy measures outlined in the 2021 federal budget, John Nater is standing firmly against it.
The Perth-Wellington MP spoke on May 25th of the bill saying it does not address the local concerns of the community.
Nater saying when he looks at legislation he always looks at the local aspect
“When I approach legislation that comes before the house of commons, my first priority is to see how this impacts the people, families, communities and business in my riding of Perth-Wellington.” said Nater
Nater adding he believes the budget implementation act looked more like a plan for pre-election rather the road to recovery past the pandemic.
