The Mount Forest Lawn Bowling Club has received a boost with the help of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
MPP Matthew Rae announced the government has dished out $140,600 to the bowling club to ensure the community has access to safe and critical programming, activities and spaces.
The funding will allow the club to improve the greens by acquiring a top dresser used for leveling.
The leaking roof was also replaced, greens were made accessible with a cement ramp and staging area with some aging infrastructure being replaced.
Brenda Eckhardt, President of the Mount Forest Lawn Bowling Club says without this type of funding non profit organizations wouldn’t be able to serve the public.
