Motorcycle operator facing several charges after stop near Arthur

Driver was found to subject to two driving prohibitions

 

On May 9th at approximately 2pm a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic and conducting radar on Wellington Road 109 near the town of Arthur.

The officer observed a motorcycle travelling westbound at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit.

The vehicle’s speed was measured on radar in excess of 150 km/h.

Police spoke with the driver and discovered that they were subject to 2 driving prohibitions.

A 24 year old male of Halton Hills faces the charges of 2 counts of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, failure to comply with a probation order, stunt driving excessive speed and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

The accused vehicle was seized for 45 days. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on June 11th.
