It might be a slightly later season for strawberry season in the province but all is still taking shape for the season including down at Morrison Berries.
This month alone has seen its struggles with a frost warning being in effect at a time with people like Emily Morrison having to take measures to protect her plants.
Emily Morrison with Morrison Berries Country Market says while they do need to hold off for a bit longer for U-Pick-It they still have much to celebrate including being part of the Huron County Taste Trail.
“We’re very excited to be a stop along the way, the County of Huron throughout the entire rest of the summer is putting out different maps of farms and places you can visit and learn about farming in Huron County and we’re very honoured to be a stop this weekend. If you come to the farm, there will be farm tours, some taste testing of strawberries and learning to grow them.” said Morrison
Morrison Berries in Lucknow is one of nine participating farm and retail locations to be part of the launch of the Taste Trail running on Saturday from 10am-4pm.
